Arteska International Company was established in 1997. In that year, on April 10th the licensing agreement was signed with th Sinalco International Company from Duisburg, Germany, which granted the production of the non-alcoholic refreshing beverage Sinalco. This licensing agreement is the result of the confidence of our international partners, and the date when this agreement was signed is considered to be the date of the company establishment.

The years long experience of alcoholic beverages, marmalades and jams production was inherited by the ARTESKA International Company from the renowned production plant, Suboticanka a.d.

Suboticanka a.d. Company existed for fifty years. Way back in 1946, an independent company that specialized in production of soda and ice was found, and only in 1951 it was given the present name. Since then it had become one of the most important factories that produced alcoholic beverages and marmalades both domestically and for the wider region. Parallel with the growth of liqueurs’ production line, there was a sudden increase in production of marmalade in this company, too. Back then, Suboticanka had already become one of the main producers of manufactured marmalade in Yugoslavia, and they supplied marmalades for all the most important producers of sweets and biscuits. The famous and widely popular Jaffa biscuit was made with the jelly filling that had been produced in this factory.

Pelinkovac Gorki, the bitter liqueur, has quickly become the leader in the ex-Yugoslav market in the category of bitter liqueurs.

In 1993, the restructuring of the complete operations was initiated in the Suboticanka Company, and a new production programme, staff, enthusiasm and belief in their success was brought in.

The mixture of tradition and experience of Suboticanka Company experts, and the ambition and innovative spirit of the new and young team of the Arteska International Company – the predecessor of the newly found ARTESKA International Company - have resulted in creation of a larger number of new brands, like the OR liqueurs, V Vodka, Dry Gin, Children's Bubbly, “Naše Voce”, “Frutto Mio”, and “Honey & Fruit” marmalades and jams.
